I really enjoy digital photography. It's one of the miracles my father dreamed of and I imagined in my future (like no need for fossil fuel, well not all my dreams have come true yet) and here it is.

For the price I would have paid for a decent 35mm film camera we all can easily buy cameras that will do almost everything possible with film.

For the kids this is all old news, many may now have never used film cameras. But for most of the US population we are still in awe of this new technology.

This photo taken while walking the dogs in a local park was taken with a Minolta Dimage 7. Not a new camera, but an extremely capable little box. Posted by Picasa

You Passed 8th Grade Science

Congratulations, you got 8/8 correct!
The Washington Monthly

I want to watch this one. If our Republican government is unwilling to have corporations simply be open with their CEO's costs to the corp. I think it tells *TOTALLY* who they are protecting, themselves.

We need people government, protectioon from large corporations, not the other way around!

Great Desktop Wallpapers! Posted by Hello

Still in the Windows world I just downloaded the Google Picasso picture viewing program. This program integrates with Blogger and Hello to make adding pictures from your digital camera, hard disk or scanner remarkably easy.

I have to confess, I am impressed. I have used Irfanview for years (and still will, its much smaller and faster) but Google has come up with a very good program here.

It's a keeper!

BTW - The photos shown above are from a favorite Wallpaper Website Vladstudio

Urban Legends Reference Pages: Automobiles (Seat Belts)

I was taught how to fly airplanes when I was a teen and actually soloed in a Cessna 150 before I got my drivers license. I knew that value of seat belts (bumps in the air can literally put you on the ceiling faster than you can imagine!) so I was never a rebel of the seat belt laws.

Sadly one of those "rebels" died last week, a result of not wearing a seatbelt.
